Abstract

With the COVID-19 pandemic and the use of emergency measures such as social isolation, necessary to contain the SARS-CoV-2 virus, several spheres of society are undergoing changes in the way they operate, including an area that was directly impacted It was education. Children in their initial stages of development, when the process of schooling and fundamental activities such as literacy began, went through this period with many difficulties, and many did not achieve effective learning in different contents. Therefore, it was necessary to study and investigate the current context in which early childhood education finds itself, to understand its new demands and challenges. The objective of this project was to analyze productions on literacy in a post-pandemic context, and thus serve as a theoretical reference and support material for those who are developing practices in early childhood education. The project then referred to a literature review, based on the most recent articles and periodicals that address the topic of literacy and the pandemic, thus analyzing which pedagogical practices are being effective, and which are the new issues regarding education.
