Technological advances with scientific support in recent years have placed Implantology within Dentistry, not just as a work philosophy, but as a proven scientific truth. Immediate implants are inserted in the same surgical procedure in which the tooth to be replaced is extracted. Its main indication is the replacement of teeth with pathologies that cannot be treated. Among its advantages, compared to delayed implants, are the reduction of bone resorption of the post-extraction socket, shortening the time of rehabilitation treatment and avoiding a second implant surgery. Disadvantages generally include the need for membrane-guided bone regeneration techniques, with risk of exposure and infection; and the need for mucogingival grafts to close the socket and/or cover the membranes. The objective of this study was to report a clinical case of tooth extraction in the anterior region with placement of a dental implant. It is concluded that immediate implant procedures have a high success rate, as long as the appropriate requirements are met and the planning is exhaustive. Implantology offers the most advanced in dental implants, providing an immediate solution for edentulous patients or teeth requiring extraction.
