In the contemporary scenario, the ubiquitous presence of technology in the lives of children and adolescents generates growing concern about their safety in cyberspace, especially given the increase in online child sexual abuse. This study aims to analyze the challenges of fully protecting these young people in the digital age, with a focus on preventing online abuse. The specific objectives include discussing the concept of child sexual abuse in cyberspace, analyzing its impacts and protection strategies, addressing the criminal types that regulate the matter in Brazilian law and examining the obtaining of digital evidence in relation to the right to privacy of the perpetrator of the crime. The methodology adopted is qualitative, allowing a detailed exploration of the nuances of this problem, with analysis of the social, cultural, psychological and legal contexts. The deductive method is used to establish relationships between theories and empirical data, with the formulation and testing of specific hypotheses throughout the investigation. The expected results will contribute to more effective policies and practices in preventing and tackling online child sexual abuse. The full protection of children and adolescents demands a collaborative and comprehensive approach, recognized by Resolution No. 245/2024 of the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents.
