THE ACTIVITY OF THE COMMUNITY POLICE IN GUARANTEING FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS

Abstract

The topic of community police action in guaranteeing fundamental rights represents a very important topic in relation to public security in our country. The objectives are to describe the performance of the community police in guaranteeing fundamental rights. This study will be a literature review with the theme “The performance of the community police in guaranteeing fundamental rights.”, with searches through articles in national periodicals, published in Portuguese available in the databases belonging to Google Scholar (Scholar) and Latin American Literature and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo). The article selection criteria will be in Portuguese/English, published between 2015 and 2023. The results indicate that the police investigation, the procedures and actions of the police and the guarantee of fundamental rights are widely followed in accordance with the Federal Constitution of Brazil/88, therefore, proves to be extremely efficient from the point of view of guarantees for the person under investigation and the implementation of a criminal investigation in line with the dictates of the Democratic Rule of Law.
