This study addressed the implementation of the active Peer Instruction methodology in elementary education, focusing on the need to adapt this approach to face-to-face and online educational environments and integrate it with digital technologies such as augmented and virtual reality. The general objective was to investigate efficient Peer Instruction practices that could be applied at this level of education, exploring the potential of these technologies to enrich students' learning experience. Through a literature review, strategies were identified that promoted a collaborative and interactive learning environment, highlighting the importance of training educators and developing specific teaching materials. Results suggested that Peer Instruction significantly increased student engagement and understanding, with technology amplifying these benefits. It was concluded that the effective integration of this methodology, combined with emerging technologies, offered a promising path to renew educational practices, making learning more relevant and effective.
