Abstract

This course completion work's main focus is on physical education at school and the impact it can have on the motor development of healthy adult individuals. The proposal is to analyze the influence of regular physical activity during schooling, on motor learning and on the physical, mental and social development of these individuals. The central question that guides this study is: What is the role of school physical education in motor learning and the physical, mental and social development of healthy adults? Through this problematization, we seek to better understand how the motor skills acquired during physical education in childhood and adolescence can directly impact the quality of life of adults. To achieve this objective, a bibliographical review will be carried out on the topic, as well as the application of questionnaires and physical tests to collect data on participants' sporting habits and practices during their school years. We also intend to investigate how these habits are reflected in your current state of health and well-being. The results of this study can contribute to a broader understanding of the importance of promoting physical activity from an early age in schools. Furthermore, its fundamental role can be highlighted not only in motor development, but also in the social and mental aspects of individuals as they mature. In this way, the relevance of Physical Education is reinforced as an essential curricular component for the integral promotion of human beings. This study suggests that school Physical Education should not be seen only as a discipline aimed at developing motor skills, but as a means to promote health, quality of life and well-being throughout adult life.
