REPORT OF INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IN PSYCHOLOGY IN A LONG-STAY INSTITUTION FOR THE ELDERLY: CARE, HUMANIZATION AND WORK ETHICS WITH THE ELDERLY

Abstract

The objective of this article is to report the experience of an internship in psychology in a long-term care institution for the elderly located in the city of Curitiba. To this end, participant observation meetings were held at the site in 2022. With the internship, it was possible to understand the importance of humanized, ethical and responsible work with this public, given that they are vulnerable people and need adequate care that can be given to them. the best quality of life. The internship in Psychology allows future professionals to be engaged in this care and to better prepare themselves to meet this demand.
