Abstract

The scenario for children and adolescents has changed, but domestic and family violence against them still persists, even amidst legislative advances that aim to safeguard these developing people. That said, the objective of this article is to explain the recent changes brought about by Law nº 14.344/2022 in relation to the duties of Guardianship Councils in matters of domestic violence against children and adolescents, it uses a qualitative, inductive approach, through the analysis of bibliographic and documentary sources, it is concluded that the scenario of domestic violence continues and that the lack of knowledge of the powers of the Child and Adolescent Statute, especially those brought by the Henry Borel Law, helps to maintain this scenario.
