The aim of this study was to analyze the benefits of early diagnosis in the context of ASD and ADHD, considering the challenges faced by patients, family members and health professionals. The methodology used was a systematic review of the literature, by searching for published materials indexed in the VHL, SciELO, CAPES Journals and Google Scholar. The results show that early identification of ASD and ADHD allows the individual to be referred immediately for specific treatments and adjuvant therapies, which can contribute to adaptations in social, school and family contexts. In addition, it was found that early diagnosis makes it possible to reduce the worsening of symptoms of both disorders, which, if not treated preferably during childhood, can result in the manifestation of other morbidities and pathologies, as well as damaging the individual's integral development. The conclusion is that early diagnosis of ASD and ADHD is essential for effective treatment and requires collaborative action between family members and health professionals, as well as the need for constant updating on the subject and continuing education for professionals who deal with these disorders.
