This article addresses the importance of stimulating cognitive functions, with a special focus on executive functions, for lifelong mental development. The benefits of cognitive stimulation are discussed, including improved reasoning, memory, planning, and problem-solving, among other aspects. The brain's neuroplasticity is highlighted as a crucial mechanism in adaptation and reorganization in response to stimuli and experiences. Suggestions for games and playful activities designed to stimulate executive functions are presented, aiming to promote cognitive development in both children and adults. By implementing these strategies, it's possible to strengthen essential mental skills and foster a healthy and efficient brain at all ages, preparing individuals to confidently face the challenges of the modern world.
