The process of worker health and safety education is to raise awareness of compliance with the standards that regulate the Safety Engineering system, which operates in various sectors of public and private work, in compliance with the legislation that requires the establishment of such rules, using equipment appropriately. This work analyzes some traits of the culture of prevention, predominant in the emergency unit in rural Alagoas in relation to health and safety at work, which works by promoting, inhibiting and even preventing the implementation of actions that block improvements in environments and conditions aimed at promoting the safety and health of workers. The continuing education process of this emergency unit is an important aspect for the prevention of accidents and illnesses caused by work, which resulted in quality in the services provided to the user community, provided by the hospital unit. During the development of the research, there was a lack of studies on this topic, so the methodology used qualitative and quantitative characteristics.
