Abstract

This study aims to examine the Argentine movement Maré Verde and its struggle for women's representation in controlling their own fertility and pregnancies, challenging the control of the Argentine State. The focus will be on photographic images of the movement between 2018 and 2021, deepening the understanding of its formation, agendas, and influence on Argentine women and other Latin American countries, drawing a brief comparison of how the issue is addressed in Brazilian law. The methodology employed includes bibliographic, documentary, and imagistic research, with a deductive approach and a gender theoretical perspective, utilizing photographic images as the main source. The results aim to elucidate how such images can impact and strengthen social movements.
