THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SCREENING PROCESS IN A SCHOOL CLINIC LOCATED IN THE CITY OF CURITIBA: INTERNSHIP REPORT IN PSYCHOLOGY

Abstract

This report will inform the importance of carrying out a screening before starting psychological care. This screening will be carried out online or in person, depending on the client's needs, carried out in stage VI, under the guidance of the guiding professor Diego da Silva, at the clinic school of the Psychology Course at UNIVERSIDADE UNIENSINO, in the city of Curitiba, in the state of Paraná. This screening seeks to understand and meet the patient's needs and thus be able to redirect them to a specific service, according to the need and priority of care. This real contact is necessary for my practices as a future psychologist, training my listening, my professional ethics, my empathy, transforming this service into a safe place of trust and respect for those served. Finally, my routines in this academic environment will be experienced, thus reviewing in this practice the need to think about others, removing from within myself any prejudice that may have remained in my journey, in my conscious or also unconsciously acquired by a family, social, not letting myself get involved, but just my specialized psychological listening.
