PROFILE OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES IN A CARDIOLOGY AMBULATORY CARE IN THE WEST OF PARANÁ

Diseases of the circulatory system have the highest morbi-mortality rate in Brazil and in the world. The Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC), pointed out that about 400,000 Brazilians die each year due to heart disease, corresponding to 30% of all deaths in the country. This study is a descriptive research, with a documentary quantitative approach, with data collected in manual medical records and contained in Tasy operating system, from 290 pacients, from January 2021 to December 2021, from a cardiology ambulatory care in the city of Cascavel, Paraná. The research had as its primary objective to know the most prevalent diseases in the cardiology ambulatory care of Cascavel, it was observed that systemic arterial hypertension was the most frequently treated disease, present in 255 of the patients (87.93%), and the most common comorbidity was dyslipidemia, in 100 patients (34.48%). This study also aimed to know the epidemiological profile of the population and the forms of therapy most used by the service's patients. Among the patients included in the survey, 56% were women. The most used medications were statins, present in the therapeutic scheme of 57.93% of the patients and angiotensin receptor blockers, utilized by 46.90% of the population.
