Abstract

This article is the result of an experience report and an excerpt from a course completion project. It presents the experiences of the first semester of 2023, during Supervised Internship III - Early Years of Elementary School (in Management and Pedagogical Coordination) of the Pedagogy Degree Course, of the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB), offered by the State University of Santa Cruz - Uesc / Ilhéus (Ba). The internship was carried out in a comprehensive public school in a municipality in the south of Bahia, targeting students in the 2nd year of the Early Years of Primary School. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of using literary reading and educational games as facilitating resources in the literacy process and in the acquisition of writing and reading skills. This work is qualitative and descriptive-reflective in nature. It used the auto(biographical) method so that, based on the narratives, experiences and experiments, we could discuss and reflect with a view to improving our teacher training. The information was produced through observation, document analysis and narratives, resulting from the actions and reflections carried out during the internship. The use of literary reading pedagogical resources and didactic games achieved positive results in the literacy process of the students in the acquisition of writing, reading fluency and vocabulary development, as well as providing learning opportunities that contributed to our education.
