PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES: A MATTER OF CONSCIENCE

Abstract

This article proposes an in-depth analysis of the importance of sustainable practices as a matter of awareness, which will explore the theoretical foundations, practical applicability and challenges faced in promoting sustainable behaviors and attitudes. The importance of promoting sustainable practices has become an intrinsic issue of individual and collective consciousness. Seeking a holistic approach, it was explored the ethical, economic and environmental foundations that support the need for a paradigm change towards more responsible behaviors. It is also unquestionable to analyze the role of individuals, companies and governments in this process, highlighting strategies and challenges. Throughout the text, the need for a global and interdisciplinary approach to face contemporary dilemmas related to sustainability will be emphasized. It is of great relevance to discuss the importance of promoting sustainable practices in different sectors of society, promoting a review of the main concepts related to sustainability and reflecting the importance of adopting sustainable practices in different areas, such as industry, agriculture and tourism. Furthermore, many examples of sustainable practices can be adopted by companies and individuals, emphasizing the importance of promoting these practices and how this can be achieved.
