This article is the result of an undergraduate course conclusion and was produced through an experience report by two undergraduate students. Its objective is to analyze, based on the experiences of Supervised Internship II, in the Early Years of Elementary School, the importance of the Family/School relationship for the educational development of students in municipal public schools located in two different municipalities in the southeast of Bahia. The specific objectives were: to identify the main challenges to building the family/school relationship; to present the strategies used by the school to involve families in the educational process; and to understand the results obtained through family participation in the students' school life. The study was based on reports of the experiences of two trainees during their participation in the various stages of the internship, which took place in the second semester of 2022, in classes of the 2nd Year of the Early Years of Primary School. It adopted the (auto)biographical method, which enabled the narration of experiences based on reflection. The study is analytical-descriptive and qualitative in nature. The information was produced from our lives and experiences, as well as from the use of records made both in the logbook and in the internship reports. The results suggest that students who are accompanied by their families, both at school and at home, through help with homework and motivation with the learning process, tend to show better educational performance and development.
