Heart failure is a complex clinical syndrome of a systemic character, being a consequence of diseases that, over time, affect the muscles of the heart, causing inappropriate blood supply to meet metabolic needs of the body, causing reduced blood flow, blood reflux in veins and lungs, as well as other changes that may stiffen or further weaken the heart. Thus, the present study, through data analysis of the Informatics Department of the Unified Health System (Datasus), aims to determine the epidemiological profile of patients diagnosed with heart failure, seeking information for the development of strategies for prevention and control of this pathology.
