Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that is still prevalent today and remains a serious public health problem, requiring attention and care in its management. This is a quantitative observational study, carried out using the SINAN database, through DATASUS. Which aims to observe and describe the epidemiological profile most affected by the disease, also considering the diagnostic methods used, as well as their importance. The sample was made up of patients notified of tuberculosis between 2017 and 2022 in the western macro-region of Paraná and it was concluded that tuberculosis is on the increase in this region compared to the past and that the profile most affected is male, between 20 and 39 years old, of white race. In relation to laboratory diagnostic methods, however much they are used, they could be used more frequently, with the aim of improving the approach and management of this disease, in order to reduce its indicators.
