Abstract

Inclusive education is widely accepted and debated as a fundamental principle for equal opportunities and respect for diversity in early childhood education, essential for children's cognitive, social and emotional development. This article addresses the importance of inclusive education in early childhood education, highlighting its celebration to promote diversity and equality from the earliest years of children's lives. Through a literature review, the fundamental concepts of inclusive education were explored, as well as its implementation and benefits in early childhood education. The results show that inclusive education contributes to the overall development of children, promoting respect for diversity and equal opportunities. Therefore, it is essential that educational institutions adopt inclusive practices from an early age, ensuring a welcoming and conducive environment for the full development of all children.
