Abstract

This article presents a case study that explores the importance of emotional intelligence as a management mechanism in companies. Based on a survey conducted with a diverse audience, composed of individuals over the age of 16, we analyzed the collected responses to understand how emotional intelligence is perceived and valued in the workplace. The research includes a review of the fundamental theories of emotional intelligence, focusing on the contributions of authors such as Daniel Goleman, Peter Salovey, John D. Mayer, among others. The analysis of the collected results will allow us to assess how emotional intelligence influences intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships in organizations, as well as its role in organizational development.
