Abstract
The quality of teaching is current in the agendas of the main institutions dealing with education in Brazil. Both in the public and private spheres. Given this scenario, the general objective of this work was to detect how notions about the quality of education, embedded in the speeches of the main social actors with educational transit in the city of Rio Formoso. Concerning the specified objectives, the three main ones were: they carry out a survey of the normative and specialized literature on the topic of quality in education; to identify the meanings of some of the main notions of quality of education, present in the Brazilian educational field and to analyze the consensus and disparities related to the notions of quality of education of actors in the educational field of the city of Rio Formoso. To obtain information about this investigation, the methodological procedure adopted was a qualitative research that described as a methodological approach that investigates the themes of social studies that cannot be quantified. The focus of this work was the thorough analysis of the object of study and, therefore, the answer to investigative questions listed in the body of this work. In conclusive condition, it was noticed a variability of notions about quality of education, this notion assumes several formats, according to the historical period and the political position assumed by the subject. Thus, combining the speeches of these actors with the performance policy and what is the insertion inserted.
