The objective of Pharmaceutical Assistance is to promote the rational use of medicines in order to promote the efficacy and safety of patient treatment. Changes in blood sugar levels are a defining feature of type 2 diabetes. It is a chronic disease that requires monitoring. As it grows, it affects a large part of the population and can cause serious complications for patients who do not receive adequate treatment, notably blindness, amputation and injury to limbs and accumulation of plaque on the walls of blood vessels, impairing the circulation of oxygen in the organs, the which can significantly increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. Given this reality, pharmaceutical follow-up is extremely important for drug therapy, ensuring better adherence to therapy and control of patients' glycemic parameters.
