TECHNOLOGY AND EDUCATION: IMPORTANCE TODAY AND ITS CHALLENGES

Abstract

Technology plays an increasingly important role in education. Currently, it offers countless increasingly innovative opportunities with the aim of contributing to the learning process. In today's world, information is increasingly accessible and dynamic, the use of technology allows both teachers and students to access numerous digital resources, stimulating independent research. The use of technology in education promotes interaction and collaboration between students and teachers, enabling instant communication and knowledge sharing, through educational applications and interactive tools that create a dynamic and engaging learning environment, adapted to the individual needs of students. There are challenges with the lack of equal access to the internet and technological devices can create an educational disparity between students. Also, training teachers to effectively use technologies is essential, but is often inadequate. Online security and student data privacy are very important to ensure a safe and secure educational environment. This article aims to explore the importance of using technology in education today and the challenges faced in the search for quality implementation in schools. In order to deepen this topic, two interviews were carried out with educators in search of knowledge about their views on the use of technology in education, in addition to the theoretical basis, with some authors who have already researched the topic. In education today, it is important to provide innovative opportunities for meaningful learning, seeking to overcome challenges related to access, teacher training and safety to ensure that all students can benefit from the advantages offered by the integration of technology in the classroom.
