This study deals with humanized care in radiotherapy, highlighting the importance of its effectiveness for adequate treatment for patients with breast cancer. Humanized care in radiotherapy is considered essential for patients, as they are in a state of physical and emotional fragility, therefore the role of the radiology technologist is essential during this period of treatment. In this context, the following question was raised: Are patients with breast cancer receiving humane treatment in radiotherapy? Based on the above, the general objective was: to analyze how patients with breast cancer are being treated in a humane way in radiotherapy. Therefore, the specific objectives aimed to contextualize humanized care in radiotherapy; understand the role of radiology professionals in humanized care and present methods or experiences that can improve the process of humanized care in radiotherapy. The methodology used was qualitative, bibliographic and documentary research. Finally, the research demonstrated the need to humanize the radiology professional in radiotherapy with practice, to ensure that the treatment of the patient when positively obtaining significant benefits in each situation with the challenges and difficulties faced throughout the trajectory during breast cancer treatment in radiotherapy.
