The implementation of Industry 4.0, highlighting the use of algorithms for more effective systems, is exemplified in the Computer Numerical Control Lathe. This work aims to identify and describe the risks that the operator in charge of handling the CNC lathe, when machining parts, in a metallurgical industry and as a specific objective seeks to study the Regulatory Standards NR-12 and NR-17 for safety worker. To develop this study, a literature review was carried out. The results demonstrated that it is important for the company to adopt a series of measures in accordance with standards, such as NR12 and NR17, as well as carry out the adaptation and installation together with the manufacturer, having the installation manual in hand so that they can be analyzed. risks and chosen safety devices, mandatory such as PPE, training: manufacturer and company also need to be in tune. It was concluded that for the purposes of understanding the ergonomics and safety of working with the CNC Lathe, the application of risk analysis plays an important role in identifying potential hazards in a universally recognized way.
