The story dates back to the arrival of Africans brought as slaves, triggering a series of racial prejudices over the centuries, which now demand urgent reparatory actions. In this study, a methodology was adopted that involves bibliographic compilation, analysis of higher court jurisprudence and examination of documents to examine this complex issue. It is concluded that the quota system at UNITINS played an important role in promoting diversity and the inclusion of underrepresented groups, but also highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach that includes actions to ensure the success of quota students throughout their career. academic journey.
