TEMPERATURE IMPACT FOR MEDICATION STORAGE

Abstract

Medicines are products that require special care from their manufacture to their dispensation to the final consumer. These special precautions include appropriate storage in order to avoid damage that affects the integrity of the drug, causing serious consequences for the health of those who use it. This work has the general objective of reporting how medicines are stored and the importance of keeping medicines at the ideal temperature and the consequences when temperatures are not respected. The methodology used was a literature review based on the years 2020 to 2023. I came to the conclusion that adequate storage and preservation of medicines are fundamental factors for their effectiveness. The vast supply of medicines, the lack of pharmaceutical attention regarding how they are stored and poor conservation can affect the characteristics of the drug.
