Abstract

From the dispensation model to the social model, the treatment given to people with disabilities suffered profound modifications, which also happenned to reflections through History. Today, even after the New York Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Statute of People with Disabilities, it is needed to think about the institutes  which the above mentioned legal instruments brought in order to keep enlarging the capacity of the people there protected. Therefore, in this article, it will be studied the “self-trusteeship” as an institute of reinforcement to the full capacity of People with Disabilities.
