The Civil Construction Industry (ICC) plays a strategic role in the Brazilian economy, generating jobs, promoting the development of infrastructure and stimulating demand for inputs and services. Reinforced concrete, a versatile material widely used in ICC, faces challenges such as reinforcement corrosion and cracking, which threaten the safety and durability of structures. Therefore, analysis and continuous research are crucial to identify anomalies early and implement effective solutions, along with investments in technology, monitoring and responsible construction practices, in order to guarantee the safety, durability and sustainability of buildings, contributing to the socioeconomic progress of the country and preventing future problems. The study addressed the analysis of pathologies in reinforced concrete due to humidity, including identification, classification, investigation of the causes and evaluation of the consequences of these problems. It was concluded that humidity is a particular threat to reinforced concrete, as it can trigger deterioration processes that compromise structural integrity, making it imperative to adopt proactive measures to mitigate these adverse effects.
