THE SYMPTOM OF THE PARENTS AND THE SYMPTOM OF THE CHILD

Abstract

This article aims to explore the conceptualization and distinction about the symptom of the child and the child and its reverberations in the parental couple. The objective of this research is to characterize the concept of symptom in psychoanalytic theory, identify the place of parents in analysis with children and verify the relationship between the symptom of the parental couple and the symptom of the child. It will be developed from two stages: the child in the psychoanalytic discourse and the symptom in the psychoanalytic clinic. Thinking about psychoanalytic clinics with children requires professionals to rethink their practice and clinical management. Since the place of parents in the clinic occupies a different place in the analytical process and the intervention with the child reverberates effects on parents/caregivers. In continuity, bibliographical research will be carried out on platforms of scientific articles and canon references. Articles will be selected based on their relevance and critical production.
