Abstract

The present work addresses the theme of the legislative history of the ethnic-racial perspective in Brazilian educational legislation. The analysis focuses on the historical-legislative evolution of this principle, highlighting the fundamental concepts and mainly the normative frameworks that contributed to its consolidation as a formal integral part of the Brazilian educational system. Using a predominantly qualitative and historical approach, bibliographical research, through books and articles, seeks to shed light on the legislative path that has shaped the promotion of ethnic-racial diversity in the context of national education. The objective is to understand how this perspective has evolved over time and what challenges and advances it has brought to ensuring equality and combating racism in the country's educational system.
