Abstract

This article aims to discuss the financing of political campaigns and how they affect the fairness and integrity of the electoral process and accountability in the light of the Electoral Code and the current Resolutions, making considerations about the role of money in elections, regulations on financing of campaigns, transparency of donations, and the use of own resources by candidates, with an analysis being made in search of solutions and improvements to face the challenges in the inspection of possible irregularities.
