Teenage pregnancy is considered a major public health problem faced in today's society, since it entails a series of complications for the pregnant woman and the fetus. In this context, nurses play a fundamental role, as they bring with them actions aimed at sexual and reproductive education for adolescents and young people at this stage, in order to minimize these statistics. This study aims to: investigate in the literature the importance of professionais nurses and their actions in the process of sex education as a means of preventing early pregnancy. This is a integrative study of bibliographic review, in which data were obtained from periodical sources, nursing journals, theses and dissertations collected in databases such as: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). Expected results: the collaboration of the nursing professional is expected to adhere to functional awareness strategies in order to promote a reduction in cases of teenage pregnancy, where mass media should be used to disseminate lectures in schools, promoting family planning and sex education classes to be held in a school environment, and individual professional monitoring offered free of charge specifically for the target audience.
