In this article, we address the topic of planning, which should be developed with a focus on bringing about significant changes in the experiences of the children attending early childhood education institutions. In the daily routine of early childhood education, there are still some questions regarding the planning to be carried out with and for the children. Inquiries such as: what to plan, what elements should be included in the planning, what should it be based on, and what is its importance in the children's development, need to be clarified so that teachers can understand the intentionality behind the pedagogical actions they will undertake. Pedagogical practice must be constantly planned and infused with intentionality. In the context of early childhood education, whether guided by the teacher or not, children are always making new discoveries, and therefore, professionals need to have a sensitive eye to perceive what children are indicating. This way, they can propose situations that are meaningful, that broaden the cultural repertoire, and contribute to the holistic development of children.
