The present work has a qualitative, exploratory character and aims to understand how Gestalt therapy understands the spiritual dimension in the constitution of the individual, and how to manage it within the therapeutic process, so that the individual's experiences of contact with this dimension can result in awareness. To this end, it was necessary to observe Gestalt therapy's perception of how the individual is constituted, how he relates to spirituality and how he modifies and is modified by this relationship. For a greater understanding of the topic, religiosity is differentiated from spirituality, since they are directly associated terms, but have concepts and meanings that differ from each other. To this end, a narrative bibliographic review was used as a research method, whose articles were selected based on relevance criteria, in the following databases: Google Scholar, PePSIC and Scielo. By predisposing to listening to spirituality and the religiosity that permeates the existence of being in the world, the psychotherapist opens himself to acceptance and ensures the trust that the client places in the therapeutic process, revealing their unique and particular demands.
