In order to recognize that culture is a fundamental element in the construction of identity, from the involvement in its social relation, in a modern society that offers new values for concepts already defined and adapted to spontaneous changes in the dynamics of society, it is important to consider factors of constitution and cultural representation, as a contribution to the development of the same, in particular the awareness of each individual. This research aims to understand factors that distance students from a State School in the city of Nazaré da Mata - Pernambuco, which presents its Afro-descendant and rural cultural roots, which awakens to actions that promote the preservation of heritage that strengthens the local identity. Thus, through reflective discourses on social, ethnic, racial, pedagogical relations, teaching procedures, learning conditions, with tactical and explicit objectives for the understanding and implementation of the proposals.
