Cerebral palsy is a health condition that can be defined as a group of disorders characterized by motor dysfunction due to non-progressive brain damage. Its study over the years brings with it varied epidemiological data that were collected in different countries, with the global standard being an incidence of 2 to 3 cases per thousand live births. One must also consider the fact that it is the most common cause of severe neurodeficiency in children, radically affecting all activities and stages throughout the patient's life. Aiming for greater understanding and knowledge about the topic, this narrative literature review brought together articles from the PUBMED database with the aim of searching in the selected bibliography to identify the main professionals involved in the treatment of patients affected by cerebral palsy and their role in therapy, emphasizing to the different specialties of medicine. It was concluded that patients with cerebral palsy need several professionals to adequately treat the symptoms of the disease. The conduct involved in this interdisciplinary joint work must aim to: increase the patient's quality of life, reduce the severity of the disease and explore their independence in carrying out certain daily activities.
