This work refers to the process of reading and writing with the use of different texts as mediators in the literacy process. One of the concerns that attracted my attention was the difficulty of which method would be best to better develop students' reading and writing. Working with texts was an option I found, as I found it practical, dynamic and efficient. With the concept that literacy is a continuous process and literacy begins when the child begins to live with different manifestations of writing in society and expands daily, I elaborate this proposal with the theme: “Working with texts in literacy: an experience of internship in the Pedagogy course”. An experience during my internship period, which focuses on developing reading and writing practices with different text carriers as a contribution to facilitating and promoting the construction of reading skills. As a result, the reading development process began in children, resulting in better learning.
