Reflecting on education means transcending the separatist barrier that exists between the academic and school environments, between undergraduate and graduate courses, between different types of students and areas of knowledge. Thinking about education is understanding that, regardless of the sphere, the human being is the core of knowledge and that promoting the qualification of this thinking being is something necessary and promoter of advances in society. This article reflects on the seminars of a research group in the area of science education from the perspective of a postdoctoral student in the area of biochemistry. The plurality of topics discussed, the exchange of knowledge, the concerns of academic/personal life and the understanding that teaching is not unilateral were the results of this work.
