CLINICAL PROFILE AND THERAPEUTIC CONDUCT OF PREGNANT WOMEN WITH HIV

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency syndrome affects and leads to the destruction of T-CD4 defense cells, disarranging the imune response. During pregnancy it becomes a public health problem that involves economically active women of reproductive age that can lead to vertical transmission. Objective: Describe the clinical profile of HIV-positive pregnant women, as the appropriate therapeutic approach to reduce the chances pregnant women and therapeutic approach. Results and Discussion: The management of pregnancy includes control of complication such as the emergence of opportunistic diseases. Immunizations, good doctor-patient relationship, constancy to treatment, counseling and guidance on the pathology and risks during pregnancy. Conclusion: Antiretroviral therapy associated with satisfactory prenatal care, is essential for the viral load of HIV-positive patients to become undectable of stay below 1,000 copies, so that the vertical transmission rate is minimal.
