Abstract

The present study aims to present the competences of individual judges regarding the processing and judgment of crimes of robbery, from their pronunciation to the final and unappealable sentence and compliance with the condemnatory sentence. For this, it uses other scientific works that discuss the subject, taking into account the characterization of the crimes of robbery, the legal determination for this and also the understanding of the Brazilian courts regarding its incidence and condemnation. During the present study, which is a bibliographical review of a qualitative nature of social impact, the characterization of related crimes will be demonstrated with emphasis on the crime of robbery, conceptualization and description of the competences of the Brazilian courts and how these are determined by the legislation in force and finally present the complexity of the trial of crimes of robbery.
