Abstract

The main objective of this article was to investigate the lack of food control in university students from the University Center Valery of Araguaia - UNIVAR who go through daily mood swings as a result of the stress present within the campus due to numerous factors, such as achieving excellent grades in the various assessments, that contribute to a high degree of anxiety that, as a consequence, reflects on lack of control and/or binge eating. For that, bibliographical research was carried out, as well as field research where a quantitative questionnaire TFEQ-R21 was applied that analyzes the eating habits of students, which reveals that within the university there is a large portion of students with adequate BMI but that at times of great anxiety consume more caloric foods, it is also possible to notice that most students have uncontrolled eating. At the end of the research, it is concluded that university students are more likely to develop emotional disorders that are related to food.
