The teaching internship as a constituent part of postgraduate training (master's and doctorate) is an important tool for the development of educational practices, making a relationship between theory and practice. It allows to identify teaching methodologies, techniques, instruments and various resources, through the observation and reproduction of educational practices. The goal of this work is to present a report of teaching experience carried out during the teaching internship in higher education. The methodology adopted is descriptive, reporting the activities developed in the discipline of interior design, in the undergraduate course in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The internship was carried out during the first semester of 2023. The methodological strategy of the discipline involved expository and dialogued classes and external visits, and because it is a theoretical-practical discipline, it allowed the master's student to actively participate in the discussions held in the classroom, contributing to the training of students and expanding their own knowledge in the area. The teaching internship was an important process in the training of the master's student, bringing him closer to the reality of the higher education teacher and awakening his real interest and commitment to the quality training of future architects and urban planners.
