PLAY AND LEARNING: A REFLECTION ON PLAYING IN CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

The present work reports how the child's act of playing shows that this activity is of fundamental importance for his development as a social being. It is through ludic activities that the child develops various aspects related to the cognitive. In the ludic universe, the child communicates without having to speak and through games, games and toys it is possible to notice the benefits that these actions provide in the school environment, in the teaching-learning process. This research is also based on the historical process of childhood, addressing concepts and definitions and the child's way of life. The methodological nature of this work is the bibliographic reference. The general objective is to present the games as contributions that favor the development in the school environment. The work addresses the perspective of development from the perspective of authors and theorists such as Vygotsky and Wallon.
