This work aims to understand and analyze the scientific literature that addresses nursing care for individuals and pregnant women diagnosed with syphilis, including risk factors and challenges related to the treatment as well as the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis, highlighting its fundamentais role in the promotion, prevention and maintenance of health. Nurses follow protocols, guidelines and established health programs, while developing initiatives related to sexuality, health education and updating knowledge through training. These activities play an important role in disseminating information to the population and reducing the incidence of syphilis in pregnant women. It is concluded that nurses have a crucial role in the health of pregnant women with syphilis, especially in primary care. They enable early diagnosis and treatment, as well as prevention and resolution of the disease, through the development of plans, actions and strategies aimed at reducing cases among pregnant women and preventing vertical transmission.
