LOCAL ACTIONS TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: EXPERIENCE REPORT

Introduction: The approach of the curriculum E2A (Ânima Learning Ecosystem), implemented at the University Center UNA in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, aims to assist students in developing critical thinking skills, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity skills, better preparing them to face the challenges of the current world. Among these challenges are local actions developed by civil society to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are considered a global call to action to end poverty, protect the environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere enjoy peace and prosperity. Objective: to describe the experience report of the practical activity of local actions for the promotion of the SDGs. Methodology: This was an experience report of the practical activity of the UC One Health, at the University Center UNA in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, aiming to develop local actions for the promotion of the SDGs, providing students with a practical experience to become more innovative and engaged citizens in social actions. Results: Twelve projects were developed addressing local actions for the promotion of the SDGs. The development of this activity, in addition to stimulating innovation and the search for local solutions to specific challenges related to the SDGs, provided students with the development of socio-emotional skills, in addition to helping them to become more innovative citizens and engaged in social and civic practices. Conclusion: It was concluded that the activity recognized and valued local knowledge, promoted student civic participation, and may inspire other future actions, thus contributing to the construction of a more sustainable world.
