The study proposed for the elaboration of this article is focused on the importance of democratic management for the school, seeking to understand the forms of participation that promote autonomy and advancement in the quality of work of all in the school environment. Considering that nowadays society has undergone great transformations, especially in the educational area for being the main access to these changes, and this management is important to create means of propagation that is the main point of this relationship with mutual cooperation in search of common results. Therefore, the democratic management of education is guaranteed by the Constitution of 1988, so this article has as main objective to reflect on the importance of the process of democratic management for the school. This research will be elaborated from bibliographic review of material elaborated by scholars specialists of the area. Understanding that democratic management in the school must be involved not only with the new paradigms, but with the process that guarantees the practice of citizenship.
