Abstract

Background: Workplace ostracism (WO) among nurses is a current  phenomenon, with a negative connotation, which can seriously affect the social, emotional and labour balance of the nursing professional.. Objective: To analyze the existing scientific evidence on the use of arterial line for hemodynamic monitoring in critically ill patients. Methodology: Systematic literature review (SLR), with analysis of articles published between 2018 and 2023 in the B-ON, EBSCO, PMC and PubMed databases, with MeSH and DeCS descriptors, being selected 4 articles. Results: It was clear that WO, being difficult to identify and characterize, is closed linked to the social and emotional profile of each nursing professional, conditions behaviours and attitudes, based on enhancing and mitigating factors, and can lead to situations of non-compliance with work, burnout and early abandonment of the profession.
