This article sought to discuss above all the relevance of the public health problem faced worldwide with Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). It is worth noting that these infections have generated health concerns on the part of the authorities in force because they are infections linked to sexual life, which is starting at an increasingly early age, with a wide range of partners and a low level of knowledge about the risks posed by STIs. Faced with the problem, it is worth paying attention to the importance of the nursing professional in this scenario, with their contribution of a preventive and curative nature. (BRASIL, 2016). The research also sought to highlight the care given to women with regard to the prevention and treatment of infections. For that, the methodology used was the interactive literature review. Following the methodological criteria, it was carried out in the Google Scholar database, whose analyzed articles were published from 2019 onwards, of which 5 articles were used in full and included in the study.
